We surveyed 137 New York small business owners about the help that is supposed to exist for them. Not one reported a good experience. Here is what they told us.

New York publishes a long list of things it does for small business. Grant programs. Permit assistance. Tax relief. Loan funds. Outreach offices in all five boroughs. The list is real. The question we put to 137 NYC owners was simpler: does any of it reach you.
